Is it safe to assume that in the genealogical table "k" and "w" stand for kane and wahine? 104.153.40.58 (talk) 01:22, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think so. Every 'k' corresponds to a male and every 'w' corresponds to a female as far as I can tell. ~Anachronist (talk) 06:02, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It took me half an hour to find the page I was looking for because this article is missing the "did you mean?" box. Is there a reason for that? It doesn't even link to it's own page, it links to this

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goku#In_Dragon_Ball

I don't know anything about the previously mentioned edit war or trolling or viral marketing but come on, it is a legitimate topic. It has had multiple Guinness book world records.

I'm adding it unless someone can at least explain why Wikipedia is forcing zero references on the top Google page and wasting people's time on purpose.

I am not siding with the fans on any past behaviors, I'm certain they are annoying, probably even encouraged by viral marketers. And I am in no way disrespecting or dismissing Hawaiian heritage. I love Hawaii. I'd gladly come visit if I could afford it.

I just know many/most people clicking here from Google just don't want their time wasted, I know I don't.

The Great

[edit]

I arrived here because I remembered an episode of the old film series "I dream of Jennie" where a rebirth Kamehameha adds more times Nua (or something like) to his name. Is Kamehameha Nua the original form of K the Great? If so, may this be added? My curiosity arose in connection with the name Rapa Nui of the Easter Island. Thanks. 151.29.70.84 (talk) 15:34, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The Hawaiian history language

[edit]

Hawaiian‘s and the mispronunciation of uniting all island of Hawai’i. So Kamehameha conquered all the islands. This is a true story. These Hawaiian natives Messed up big time for Kamehameha. That conquered Kauai( slang word , sounds like Hawaii) but it was Kauai that he Conquered.. because of A place that has the 2 of the same name “Kilauea.”. He submitted to The big island Hawaii( slang sound like Kauai) so please remember their is Nature’s fury (erupting volcano) problem in Hawaii.( not Kauai) The active Volcano.. it’s the Kilauea Summit (submit ) Volcano. In the Big island. That can never be Conquered. And so Kamehameha submitted to the Big island. And said to secure (see cure) the land for my people.. and its sacred. Some said that Kamehameha never conquered Kauai and Niihau. Hurricane Dot of 1959 in August . A. Tropical cyclone devastated The islands of Kauai and Niihau. In 1992 Hurricane Iniki devastated Kauai and Niihau again. Their was a language and pronunciation problem. Hawaiian natives are the plants and animals. They are the inhabitant of the island of the Pacific Ocean. Or someone got the story backwards, king Kamehameha defeated all the king’s of the island of Hawaii. And someone who re-wrote this history in The island of Hawaii put all the Monarch’s back in place, where they was already defeated. Overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii. 2603:800C:4BF0:2000:20B2:A840:1513:8606 (talk) 12:22, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am unsure at what you are getting at here, but Kamehameha never conquered Kauaʻi, despite mounting attempts that failed due to a storm & an epidemic. However, Kauaʻi did cede to him. See Kauai#Cession to the Kingdom of Hawaii. Peaceray (talk) 13:13, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
